Mr. Godfrey W. Frische , 75 years old, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011.
His services will be at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Umbarger, TX with Father George Kalampatt officiating. Burial will be in St.Mary's Cemetery in Umbarger, TX. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackuburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel in Amarillo, TX.
Mr. Frische was born on August 1, 1935 in Dawn, TX and grew up in the Dawn, Umbarger communities. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columubs and had been a member of the Elks Lodge before his illness. Godfrey farmed all his life and loved the land and his work farming it.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father; son, Eugene Clarence Frische; brothers, Carl and Gene, sisters; Margaret Schenk, Clara Stork and Rosalie Grotegut.
He is survived by his daughters; Lisa Beecher of Dalhart, Donna Wyatt of Starkvill, Miss.; sons, Junior and Ronnie Frische of Dalharta; 9 grandchildren, Ashton, Flynn and Zach Frische, Allison and Brittany Forks, Jake and Josh Beecher and Jessica Baldwin; and one great-grandchild.
