Glenn Olsson, 82, of Amarillo died on Saturday, February, 13, 2016. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February, 18, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. LaGrone BlackBurn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Glenn was born on October 21, 1933 in Las Vegas,New Mexico to Odie and Ada Olsson. He went to many schools in New Mexico and graduated from Floyd High School in May 1952. He married Winona Estelle Vaughan in 1953. He worked for the telephone company for 40 years before his retirement. Glenn volunteered with the Veterans Administration providing transportation for veterans to their appointments with VA. He also was a BigBrother in Artesia, New Mexico before he and his wife moved to Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, his parents, one son Larry, and a brother, Ed.
He is survived by two sons, Odie of Lubbock, and Stan of Amarillo; a brother, Calvin of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a sister, Sharon of Phoenix; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
