Gilbert Perez Olivarez

Gilbert Olivarez 72, of Amarillo, died Saturday, March 18, 2023. Mr. Olivarez was born on October 18, 1950, in Three Rivers, Texas. To Gilbert Olivarez and Angelita Olivarez. He married and proceeded in death by Elma Ochoa-Olivarez and daughter Tina Olivarez. He lived out his life in Spring Lake, Texas, after his retirement from being a truck driver. He spent his life among family, love and appreciation. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his siblings Ruben Perez, Johnny Olivarez of Spring Lake, Texas, Joe Olivarez of Austin, Cindy Chavira of Washington, Linda Martinez of Odessa, Beatrice Ramirez of Odessa, and Lydia Hinojosa of Wilson. His children Diane Cervantes of Amarillo, Nick Olivarez of Bovina, Connie Olivarez, and Adam Olivarez both of Amarillo. Along with 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Proceeded by his siblings Gloria Saucedo of Odessa and Mary-Coody of Austin. Along with his youngest daughter Tina Olivarez of Corona, Calif.
