Funeral Services will be at 11am Friday, June 14, 2013 at the LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, Texas, with Rev. Leo Bibles, officiating. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo Martin Road Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Frank was born February 7, 1927 in Hallsville, Texas one of four children to Frank Sr. and Ocola Morris. Frank moved to Amarillo in 1949 and come to Christ at Adams Street Baptist Church in 1950. He met and married Mary Maggline Brooks in 1954. Frank loved life, working with his hands, fishing and his family most of all. He was the best example of a true man of God. He worked for Wright Construction Company for over 40 years as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2001.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Katherine “Kat” Swain
Survivors include his wife, Mary Maggline, a foster son, Jimmie R. Davis of Borger, Texas; a brother Oris (Lois) Morris of Longview, Texas; a sister Corine Thomas of Rugsby, Texas; nephews and nieces, Joe Howard and Ernest Morris both of Amarillo; Ocie Thomas of Amarillo; Ophelia Cumby and Doris Swain of Inglewood, California; Linda (Alphonso) Vaughn of Amarillo; Toni (Michael) Champion of Denver, Colorado ; David Brooks of Lubbock; Meta Scott of Liberal Kansas; and Eva Jean Burleson of Amarillo; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
