Hank Ruck

Francis Henry "Hank" Ruck, 86, of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 1, 2019 at Rockwell Road Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 31, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Born May 25th, 1933 in Kit Carson, Colorado, it did not take long for Hank Ruck to make his mark on the world and make his parents Joe and Geniva proud. Hank had an easy going personality, quick wit, and sunny smile that instantly put others at ease. While raising his precious family, and working at Phillips 66 for twenty years in instrumentation, he was sent to Norway to work on offshore platforms.

Hank loved to travel and explored the United States and Canada in his fifth wheel with his wife, Paulette. When Hank was not traveling, you could find him at home always tinkering with a project. Hank loved the Lord and was baptized in Borger, Texas. Hank and Paulette volunteered at AWANAS at church and he would also read to patients while volunteering for Hospice programs in Borger and Pampa.

Hank's love for his family was fierce. He was a caring and supportive father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Rockwell Road Baptist Church in Amarillo. His presence will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Audie "Bud" Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Paulette; two daughters, Alburta Ruck and Allie Kays; three grandchildren, Michelle Stills and husband Steven, Michael West and Melissa Durling and husband Jason; two step sons, Jeff Younger and wife Brenda and Shannon Younger and wife Melanie; nine great grandchildren, Maddox, Tyler, Liberty, Addison, Stetson, Dakota, Hunter, Gage and Cheyenne.
