Francis Leroy Bartholomew

F. L."Roy” Bartholomew, 74 of Amarillo died on October 24, 2014.
Graveside services will be at 1pm Monday, November 3, 2014 in Llano Cemetery, 2900 S. Hayes, St. in Amarillo with Pastor Daryl Roach of More Church officiating. Services ar under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors of Amarillo, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Rd. Amarillo, Texas
Mr. Bartholomew was born on June 5, 1940 in Vona, Colorado to Herbert and Norma Bartholomew. He married the love of his life, Nelda Hale on April 13, 1985. He proudly served the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1961. He was an avid bowler, working on crafts and loved spending time with his family and many friends. He retired from TDCJ in 2009 after being employed there for 16 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
He is survived by his son Lance Bartholomew and his spouse George Justison, two daughters Laura Jones and husband Gary and Tina Gregory and husband Larry, a sister Deanna Ball and Brother Marvin Bartholomew, three grandchildren Angelia Murillo, Kari Bartholomew and Treyton Collins and three great-grandchildren.
