Floyd B. Cook, 102, of Amarillo died on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Street.

Floyd was born on May 17, 1914 in Haskell, Texas where he grew up. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married the love of his life, Lorene in Amarillo. He worked as a finishing carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lorene, a son, Benny Cook, a daughter Sandra Garrison, step daughters, Irene Tate and Gloria Miller, a  brother, two sisters, four step grandchildren, Brandon Darden, Michael Simms, Linda England and Randy Robinson, two grandsons, Daryl Burgess and Bryan Burgess,  and great grandchildren, Joshua Scott and Sarah Killien.

He is survived by his daughters, Norma Weber and husband, Clifford and Barbara Walker and husband Steve; faithful companion, Levern Smith; step daughter, Carla Sanders and husband, Bobby; step granddaughter, Cynthia Morris and husband Wayne; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
