Funeral service will be 3:00pm Friday, June 14, 2013 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor E. F. Cofer with New Birth Fellowship. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors 1505 Martin Road Amarillo, Texas 79107.
Flordie Mae Hopson was born May 26, 1938 in Roaring Springs, Tx. She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Amarillo Public Schools. She married Ray Hopson in 1955. She worked faithfully as a domestic worker for Dr. Garre and Mrs. Ritter for 45 years.
Preceded in death by her husband Ray Hopson, her parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister, her children Melba Johnson, Lawrence Hopson, Jerry Hopson, Velinda Hood, Jimmie Ray Hopson.
Survivors include her son Perry Hopson, her brother Kenneth Johnson, her grandchildren, Stephanie Hopson-Scott (Timon), Thais Hopson (Keith), Candice Jackson, Stacy Smith, Jr Hopson, Latoya Hood, Jessica Hopson and Tiffany Hopson. 16 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn Sporty her devoted puppy.
