In loving memory of Flora Lee Hames-Archie.
Flora, a cherished parent, beloved grandparent, and dear friend, passed away peacefully at her home on April 8th, 2024, at the age of 77. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, generosity, and kindness that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
Flora was born on May 18th, 1946, to F.C. and Hazel Campbell in Dawson, Texas. Flora later moved to Memphis, Texas where she completed her education and met and married her late husband, James Archie.
Following their marriage, the couple moved to Amarillo, Texas, where they raised their five children: Dianna, Tina, Vicky, James Jr., and Bobby. Flora faithfully served God at the Church of God in Christ. For much of her career, Flora worked for Levi Strauss & Co., later going into private home care. In November 2017, Flora moved to Denver, Colorado, where she lived until she went home to be with the Lord on April 8th, 2024.
Flora was preceded in death by her husband, James Archie; son, James Archie Jr.; grandson, Dominic Archie; parents, F.C. and Hazel Campbell; and siblings, Lily V. Bell, Joe Ed Campbell, Bennie Campbell, and Charles Campbell.
Flora leaves to cherish her precious memories daughters, Dianna (Elder Vincent) Smith, Tina Archie, and Vicky Archie; son, Bobby Archie; grandchildren, India Rodriguez, Josh (Kerri Owen) Smith, Donshae Archie (Anna Rodriguez), Mercedes Mayes, Brennan Smith, Karli Scearce, Montrell Nickerson, Meagan Scearce, and Jeremiah Smith; great-grandchildren, Matheson Rodriguez, Arayla Archie, Efren Davila, Kaison Rodriguez, Hunter Rodriguez, Leilani Scearce, and Yoshon Archie; siblings, Frank Campbell, Mary Barlow, Robert (Jo Ann) Campbell, Lois (Carl) Spivey; and former daughter-in-law, Becky Scearce.
Though her physical presence may be gone, Flora's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but fondly remembered for her love, laughter, and the countless cherished memories she created with those she held dear.
