Fidel Ruiz-Rivero

Fidel Ruiz-Rivero, 53, of Amarillo passed from this life on Friday, January 12, 2018. The holy rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, Tuesday January 16, 2018 in the Martin Road Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery East.
Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Fidel was born on August 19, 1964 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Mercedes and Julia Ruiz. He grew up in Mexico where he attended school. He married Yolanda Solis and together they raised two sons. Fidel worked in construction. He will be remember for playfulness, he loved to tug on everyone ears. Fidel will be missed by all who know and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Yolanda Ruiz , an infant daughter, Maria Ruiz and sister Angelica Ruiz.
Survivors included his two sons, Ulises Ruiz and Jose Ruiz; sisters, Maria Ruiz and husband Rafael, Irene Ruiz, Merced Ruiz and Husband, Rigoberto Cisneros; brothers, Eloy Ruiz and wife Amanda, Jose Luis Ruiz and wife Yvett, Armando Ruiz and wife Maribel and Rodrigo Ruiz; sister in law Irma Ruiz and husband Arturo and numerous nephews and nieces.
