Faye Bailey, 74, of Amarillo passed away on Friday December 23, 2011.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2011 in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Chapel with the Rev. Ken Haney officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Faye was born March 10, 1927, in Roane to Earnest and Bertha Talley. She graduated high school in Roane.
Faye worked in the Pentagon briefly following graduation. She also was employed with Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital for more than 20 years in the medical records department.
Her two greatest loves were bowling and baseball. Faye even played semi-pro baseball with her sister. She enjoyed playing cards, horse racing and dancing. She was a past member of Roan Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, many brothers and sisters and three grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Bailey and wife Michele of Amarillo and Rodney Bailey of College Station; a daughter, Paula Tarrant of Dallas; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
