Fay G. Roberts, 86 of Amarillo passed away on August 25, 2011.
A Mausoleum Chapel Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 with Rev. Glen Wall, Music Minister of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX.
Mrs. Roberts was born August 27, 1924 in Tucson, AZ to George and Vesta Mae Thompson. She married Elmo G. Roberts on December 23, 1942 in Chickasaw, OK. They had been married 68 years. They moved to Amarillo in 1946 where she worked at Pantex during the war years. She cleaned, rented and managed numerous rental properties that the family owned. Until she lost her health, no one could keep up with her. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmo G. Roberts in April 2011, her sister, Jeri Sparks and her grandson Joseph Wayne Roberts. The family wishes to thank BSA Hospice for all that they have done.
Her survivors include her son: Everett Roberts and wife Mona of Amarillo, her niece: Debbie Sparks of Indianapolis, IN, her nephew: Cody Sparks, also of Indianapolis, IN and her great granddaughter: Tryston Roberts of Amarillo.
