Falba Louise Evans

July 18, 1929 — October 28, 2024

Amarillo, Texas

Falba Louise Evans, aged 95, passed away on October 24, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Falba was born on July 18, 1929, in Heavener, Oklahoma. She spent her early years in East Texas where she aspired to be a Kilgore Rangerette. Her family then moved to Borger, Texas, where she graduated from high school. It was in Borger that she met the love of her life, a shy, red-headed football player with whom she orchestrated daily “chance encounters” as he passed by her home. After attending West Texas normal college, she married Charles Eugene Evans in March of 1948. Together they raised two sons and traveled extensively both nationally and internationally. Her true joy in life was time spent with family. In her free time, Falba enjoyed painting landscapes and scenery.

Falba is survived by her loving sons Ron and his wife Cindi of Waco, TX., John and wife Sheila of Canyon, TX., five grandchildren, Ashley and Scott Warren of Robinson, TX., Reggie and Brooke Evans of Plano, TX., Anisa and Eric Gilley of New York, New York, Kimberly and Jordan Young of Keller, TX., and Selina and Brian Denney of Canyon, TX.

She loved being a great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren: Malory, Miles, Walker, Aria, Bentley, Bailey, Aubri, and Trip. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
