Everett Roberts

Everett G. Roberts, 74, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.  He was born on February 20, 1947 in Amarillo to the late Elmo Roberts and Faye Thompson Roberts.  On December 19, 1975, he married Mona Carney in Amarillo.  She preceded him in death in 2015.  Everett was a very business oriented person, retiring from Valero as an Electrical Engineer.  In his younger days, he enjoyed drag racing.  He served as deacon at The Church at Quail Creek and loved spending time with his great grandchildren.

He is survived by a granddaughter, Tristyn Roberts and her husband Victor Saavedra; great grandchildren, Ximena Saavedra and Joseph Wayne Saavedra; aunt, Alice Roberts. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Wayne Roberts in 2001.

A visitation will be on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Home, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at The Church at Quail Creek with Dale Moreland officiating.  Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
