Evelyn Drake

Evelyn Drake of Amarillo died on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 23, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.

Evelyn was born on December 26, 1919 in Stewart, Minnesota. She worked for Sears Roebuck in the catalog department and also was a waitress at the Golden Skies Cafe in Vega. Evelyn loved gardening and  country and western dancing. She also loved walking her dog "Noodles". Evelyn played the harmonica in the Krazy Kats band. They would go play at the nursing homes in Amarillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Denver, Charles and Jack and a sister Vivian.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Donna Bass of Amarillo, a son Ronnie Biddulph of Mineola, a sister Geneva Bumpus of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Sandy Bass and wife Sandi of Denver, Larry Biddulph of Oklahoma City and Tandi Cates of Arlington and five great grandchildren.
