Eva Mae Holman

November 30, 1946 — February 27, 2024

Eva Mae Holman, 77, of Amarillo, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.  She was born November 30, 1946, in Anton, Texas, to Hubert and Roberta Brown.  She married M. T. Holman, Jr.  November 2, 1972, in Dalhart, Texas.

Eva was a homemaker at heart and loved being a mother and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, especially for the holidays, and making quilts for her family.  She had an infectious sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and make others around her laugh.  She loved listening to blues music and having cookouts.  She would open her home to anyone that needed a place to stay or someone to talk to.   She was a very loving and strong woman.  She will be truly missed by many loved ones and friends.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, M. T. Holman Jr., her parents Hubert and Roberta Brown, daughter Tina Louise Holman, three brothers, Herbert, Hobert and Frankie Brown, and a sister Johnnie Mae Brown.

She is survived by her three sons; Tommy Holman and wife Brenda, Bobby Holman and wife Wendy, and Billy Holman, and three daughters; Tresa Holman Nevins, Tonya Holman and husband Matt, and Tasha Holman Richardson all of Amarillo.  She also had a handful of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

From the family:

We will especially miss getting her morning texts.  “Good morning my six-pack.

Mama loves Y’all.”  Momma, we love you always and forever.
