Eva M. Franklin, 94, of Amarillo died on Friday, November 27, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm., Wednesday, December 2 ,2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, with Dr. Chester Beavers, associate pastor of Oasis Southwest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Eva was born on September 12, 1921 in Iola, Texas to William F. and Winnie A. McDuffie. She grew up in Iola where she graduated from high school. Eva married Olin Franklin on August 2, 1941 in Iola, Texas. She was a beautician where she owned and operated Eva's Beauty Shop. She also was an artist painting many oil paintings and loved to play the piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Olin, a son, Alvin Franklin and nine brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, David and Pam Franklin, of Milan, Tennessee, Anita and Bill Collier, and Nancy Smith, all of Amarillo, Texas, brother, Emory McDuffie, of Iola, Texas; daughter in law, Linda Franklin, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
