Funeral service will be 2pmTuesday, May 28, 2013 at the LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, Martin Road Chapel 1505 Martin Road with Pastor Bennie Anderson, Sr. officiating. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Essie was born on April 19, 1932 in New Willard, Texas. She attended Patton High School. She married Mr. Adams in 1992 and was a faithful member of Amarillo Bible Fellowship in Amarillo. She was a retired domestic worker.
Preceded in death by her parents Myrtle and Joe P. Jefferson and Brother Freddy Davis
Survivors include her husband Roosevelt Adams, Sr. of Amarillo, a daughter LaVaun Green and adopted daughter Suzie Barnes of Amarillo. A sister Marva Cook of Baton Rouge, La. One grandchild and two great grandchildren.
