Funeral Mass will be held 2:00p.m Monday, July 30, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Jose Gomez as Celebrant.
HOLY ROSARY: 6:00p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel.
Esmel Domingo Garcia was born May 2, 1920 in Conchas Abajo ( Chaperito), New Mexico to Juan Nepomuceno and Eugenia Garcia. He was raised in Tucumcari, New Mexico where he met and married his wife Lillian in1945. In October of 1956 they moved to Amarillo. Mr. Garcia was a carpet layer for many years before being employed with The City of Amarillo. Esmel loved spending time with his family and adored being a grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and his daughter Lilly.
Survivors include his wife Lillian of the home, his daughters Teresa Encinias of Clovis, Patsy Velasquez of Canyon, Angie Gonzales and Dorothy Garcia of Amarillo. Sons Edward Garcia, Ernest Garcia, Stevie Garcia, Robert Garcia and David Garcia all of Amarillo; 30 grandchildren and 47 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren
