Ernest Nelson Flippo

Ernest Nelson Flippo of Amarillo, TX passed peacefully from this life on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022. Ernest was born on April 13th, 1936, in Swisher County, TX. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 38 years, retiring on May 1st, 1992. Post-retirement, Ernest worked another 10 years for the USDA.

Ernest was preceded in death by his parents, Ben E. and Lucille Flippo, and friend Sebastian Cheng. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary (Toddy) Flippo; two sons, Jeff (Traci) Of Colleyville, TX, and Steve (Cisco Gutierrez) of Houston, TX; and one granddaughter, Meghan (Chris) Giliberto of Dripping Springs, TX and two great-granddaughters, Ava and Ella Giliberto.
