Enrique Lee Chong

Enrique Lee Chong, 89. of Amarillo passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Monday, September 23, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens cemetery.

Enrique was born on January 20, 1930 in Hong Kong, China. He moved to Mexico and was a chef for many restaurants in Mexico and in El Paso. After retiring, he moved to Amarillo. Enrique was always laughing and in a good mood. He enjoyed watching soccer and cooking for his family. He also loved to go to church and spend time with his church family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by Maria; three daughters, Irma Taubenheim and husband Kevin, Laura Strong and Liza Ramirez; one son, Ricardo Ramirez and three grandchildren, Alana Strong, Arlen Strong and Isaiah Ramirez.
