Elvis was born in Dalhart, Texas on October 18, 1930 to Wade and Minnie Ward. He was raised by Floyd and Minnie Reeves. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church for over 30 years where he was a deacon. He loved the Lord. He proudly served his country in the National Guards. Elvis lived in Amarillo for 50 years and raised his family with complete love and lots of laughter. Although he retired from Frito Lay, he always said his greatest time in life was when he was cowboying and that he would always be a cowboy at heart. We will all, forever, be better by knowing this wonderful man. ‘Till we meet again.
He was preceded in death by two brothers George Ward and Jimmie Reeves, and a sister Clara Louise Cantrell.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Loretta Ward; a son, Elvis Ward and wife Dianna; two daughters, Pam Wilson and husband John and Rhonda Wheat and husband Mike; 11 grand kids, 13 great grand kiddos, a sister Sue Parrott; and many other family members and friends who absolutely adored him.
