Elva Flores

Elva P. Flores, 69, of Amarillo passed from this life on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Power Church, 1344 SE 10 Ave., Amarillo with Manny De Los Santos officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.

Elva was born on May 2, 1949 in Brownfield, Texas to Jose and Geneva Perez. She grew up in Brownfield where she attended school. She married the love of her life, Ramon Flores on June 19, 1967. They moved to Amarillo where they raised their two children. Elva worked as a professional dry cleaning presser and finisher at Valet Cleaners. Elva was a casino enthusiast, she enjoyed watching her novelas but her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and close friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and four brothers.

Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Becky Flores and her husband, Sidney Hernandez; a son, Raymond P. Flores Jr. and his wife Leslie; six grandchildren, Jeneva Frausto, Meagan Flores, Aubrianna Hernandez, Andrew Cantu, Anthony Cantu and Alex Cantu; a great granddaughter, Bently Cantu; sister, Alicia Barron; and a brother, Jesse Perez and wife, Elva;

Viewing will begin on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12:00 until 8:00 pm with family receiving guests from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
