Elizabeth (Liz) T. Glover, 57, of Amarillo Texas, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 12th, 2024.
Liz was born in El Paso Texas to Lucy Provencio and Ernesto Benavides on August 11th, 1966. Liz was raised in Alamogordo and Las Cruces New Mexico by Lucy and her stepfather Daniel Ortega. She married the love of her life, Jeffrey (Jeff) Glover, in Las Cruces New Mexico in 1986. Together, they have two children; daughter Devan (Glover) Ruiz and son Kaelin Glover. It would be a sin to forget her favorite child and fur baby, Skye.
Her light was bright, and she had a huge impact on the lives she touched. Liz was a teacher’s assistant at Sleepy Hollow Elementary School for many years where she made life-long friends and inspired the students. Liz cherished laughing with her family and friends. She would look forward to the monthly birthday club dinner’s, Bunco nights, coffee dates with her girlfriends, and lunch dates with her brother, Ernie. Liz was an avid fan of Days of Our Live’s, the Today Show, any and all Nutcrackers, and car rides with Skye to get a Diet Coke.
Liz loved to travel with her husband, Jeff, including back and forth to New Mexico. A most recent cherished memory was the train ride at Chama New Mexico. Both of her children recently married, and she enjoyed welcoming the new members of the family. Devan (Glover) Ruiz married her husband, Alberto Ruiz, in September 2020, and Kaelin married his wife, Lauren (Pinckard) Glover, in December 2019. Liz and Jeff both would travel to visit their children, inspiring new home improvement projects at their homes. In another life, both her and Jeff would have their own home improvement show. They renovated their current home to one they loved.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother, father, stepfather, and sister-in-law Sandie Dieckman. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Glover, two children Devan and Kaelin, and brother Ernie Terry, mother-in-law Fredia Glover, brother-in-law Bill Dieckman, brother-in-law Mike Glover, and nieces and nephews.
There are no services planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Amarillo Animal Shelter in her name.
