Elizabeth “Betty” Hunt, 87 passed away on September 29, 2011.
Holy Rosary will be at 6:30 P.M. Friday, September 30, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road in Amarillo, TX. Mrs. Hunt's funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiated by Msgr. Harold Waldow. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery under the direction of LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.
Betty was born on January 7, 1924 in Council Bluffs, IA to Francis Martin Costello and Margaret Alice Tate . She graduated from high school in Omaha, NB. She married Earl Hunt on January 24, 1950. Betty worked as a nurse’s aide at Palo Duro Hospital in Canyon for several years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hunt in 1981; 2 sisters, Lorretta and Marie Costello; and 5 brothers, John, Joseph, Robert, Raymond and Jim Costello.
Mrs. Hunt is survived by her 3 sons, Lawrence Earl Hunt and wife Pam of Oak Harbor, WA, Michael Paul Hunt and wife Debbie of Amarillo and John Richard Hunt and wife Kimberly of Amarillo; her daughter, Patricia Edwards and Dietmar Pruessmann of Rio Rancho, NM; 5 grandchildren, Jeff and Jason Hunt, Lori Stubbey and Michelle and Robin Hunt; and 5 great-grandchildren.
