Elena Trujillo Estrada, 87, of Amarillo went to be with her loving Savior on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Celebration of life will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 21, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Errol Hainer of Trinity Fellowship East Church officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Family will be receiving friends and family Sunday between 3-5 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 Coulter.
Elena was born on April 16. 1928 in El Paso, TX to Francisco Rodriguez and Maria Trujillo. She married Tomas P. Estrada on October 25, 1943 in El Paso. Elena was a loving housewife and mother who loved taking care of her family. She worked for Golden Spread Janitorial Services for over 25 years. Elena was a woman strong in her faith with God. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved gathering with her family telling them stories of her life, especially of her life as a child. She was always the one family would come to for advice. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. She was a big Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys fan. Elena will truly be missed by many but will always remain in their hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tomas and a daughter Bonnie.
She is survived by five daughters; Yolanda Dominguez and husband Dario, Elizabeth Griego, Linda Diaz and husband Roy, Wanda Herrera and husband Larry, all of Amarillo and Gina Munoz and husband Ezequiel of Arlington; five sons; Jimmy Estrada, Ruben Estrada and wife Gwen, both of Amarillo, Tomas Estrada and wife Victoria of Denver, Raymond Estrada and wife Paula of Arlington and Ulysses Estrada and wife Kristie of Grand Prairie; thirty grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
