Edwin L. Harvey, age 88, of Amarillo passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014. Graveside services will be Monday, June 23, 2014 at 10:30 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Services are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road with Chaplain Sherman Eastland officiating.
Edwin was born in Kansas on March 30, 1926 to John and Helen (Dobkins) Harvey. He graduated from Phillips High School and went on to serve in the US Air Force. He worked most of his life for the US Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ira Ellis Harvey in 2009.
Survivors include his four sisters Nyla Harvey of Camarillo, Ca., June Moulton of Lewiston, Id., Gwen Griffith of Anaconda, Mt and Lois Meiers of Bethany, OK. He also leaves behind two brothers James Harvey of Woodland, Wa and Donald Harvey of Camarillo, Ca..
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Cal Farley's Boy's Ranch at P.O. Box 1890
