Edna Jones

November 12, 1932 — February 9, 2025

Canyon

Edna Wanda Jones was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma on November 12, 1932, to the late Joel Dock and Sula Mary Webb. Edna was raised and attended high school there in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She married Norman Jones on April 21, 1984, in Canyon, Texas and was married for 35 years until he fell asleep in death in 2019. Her spiritual inclination and love of Bible truths moved her to get baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 28, 1968. She remained a faithful and active member of the Canyon Congregation throughout the remainder of her life. Coming from a large family with many siblings, she thoroughly enjoyed being around people – teaching others, telling stories, and laughing over memories. Edna was young at heart and energetic. She loved getting together with her friends to play cards, watch movies, go out to eat, or simply just to visit. She was loved by all who met her and will be remembered for the twinkle in her eyes, her generous spirit, and the feisty smile she gave out freely.

Edna is survived by a brother, Robert Webb in Weatherford, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews; one stepdaughter and three step-grandchildren, along with their families.
