Eddy Hess

Eddy Hess, 73, of Amarillo, died September 28, 2021.  Memorial services will be held Friday, October 1, 2021, at Lagrone Blackburn Shaw, 8310 S Coulter.

Eddy was born to Thurman and Lorraine Hess in Sayre, OK on October 2, 1947.

He enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with his wife.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.  He was an avid Cowboys and Texas Tech fan.  His favorite car he named Violet.  He was an intelligent man who was hard on the outside, but soft on the inside.  He wanted nothing more than the best for his family and strived to ensure the best for everyone.

Survivors include, his wife, Cyndy; two daughters, Linda Joy Gowdy and husband Bray, and Amanda Nicole Soukup and husband Jeffrey, both of Amarillo; two sons, James Lee Milligan and wife Angela of Ft Worth, and Kelly Brent Hess and wife Kelly of Amarillo; one sister, Thurmelda Moore and husband Ladin of Amarillo; and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Hess of Bedford; a sister-in-law Linda Mae Chenoweth and husband Jack, of Spring Branch; special friends Pam Biggers and Tamara Tucker, of Amarillo.  He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Michael Shane Hess, and brother William Gary Hess.
