Eddie Jack Bragg

August 16, 1947 — October 2, 2012

Celebration of life services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at Southwest Church of Christ 4515 Cornell with Mike Ecker, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church  officiating. Family will be receiving friends at the funeral home 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012.

Eddie was born August 16, 1947 to the late Ben and Charlene Bragg in Memphis.  He was raised in Estelline and graduated from Estelline High School.  He met and fell in love with the love of his life, Nancy Hill and they were married August 16, 1969.  Eddie proudly served our country by enlisting in the US Navy and served from 1968 to 1972 also serving in Vietnam.  Eddie started work at ASARCO in 1976 and retired in February 2012 after 36 dedicated years. Outside of his love for his family, Eddie loved fishing.  Nobody could catch a bigger fish than Eddie. He had a great sense of humor and cherished the little things in life.  He will be deeply missed and will remain in our hearts forever.  The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Reddy and Dr. Baird for the quality of care and compassion that was extended to Eddie and his entire family.

Preceded in death by his parents

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Nancy Bragg; sons, Kevin Bragg and wife Tammy, Jason Bragg and wife Christina, and Kyle Bragg and wife Ashley, all of Amarillo; ten grandchildren; sister, Darlene Galligan and husband David of Childress; favorite brother and brother in law, Gayland Bragg and wife Pat of Wichita Falls; sister, Brenda Williams and husband Bob of Ft. Worth; sister in law, Becky Hill Young of Wichita Falls; brother in law, Ricky Hill of Amarillo; numerous aunts, uncles,  nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, Duane and Carol Etheridge and Mike and Mandy Galloway. Eddie is also survived by his four legged friend and hunting companion “Abby”.
