Ed Hagan, 84, of Amarillo died on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Memorial Park cemetery with Dr. Charles Jones of Hollywood Road Community Church officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.

Ed Hagan was born on January 28, 1930 in Glazier to Ed and Myra Hagan. Ed graduated from Amarillo High School and obtained his Masters degree from West Texas State University. He married the love of his life, Margaret on November 22, 1959 in Brownwood. Ed played football at the University of Texas until he was called to duty and proudly served his country in the Navy. He owned and operated Ed Hagan's Texaco and Uhaul. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy and Dallas Mavericks fan. Ed loved the outdoors, fishing and traveling the country. He also loved animals and would take care of any stray that would come around the house, but he loved his little brown dog. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

Ed is survived by his wife Margaret; three daughters, Starlite Folley and husband Tim of San Antonio, Alice Hagan of Amarillo and Shannon Carroll and husband Chris of Borger; one son Ed Hagan and wife Kenna of Hastings, OK; six grandchildren, Bryan Folley and wife Kimberly, Lauren Krup and husband Andrew, Craig Folley and wife Jennifer, Justin Lewis, Hoss Carroll and wife Kendall and Ashley Fischer; two great grandchildren, A.J. Fischer and Sebastian Folley and special friends Willie Odell and wife Emma and David Akin and wife Veronica, all of Amarillo.

The family would like to express the sincerest thanks to the Caprock nurses, Tri-West nurses and the nurses and staff of BSA Hospice for the care that they gave Ed.

The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to BSA Hospice or American Diabetes Association.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:30-7:00 pm , Friday, September 19, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter.
