Dorthia Hamilton, 83 of Amarillo passed away on November 1, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2011 at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo by LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Mrs. Hamilton was born on January 18, 1928 to George and Mildred Foster in Tolbert, TX. She moved to Amarillo in 1947 and married Jay Hamilton on June 13, 1947. Dorthia owned and operated Dorthia’s Ceramics for 10 years. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay Hamilton, her brother, R.L. Foster and her sister, Margie Early.
Those left to cherish her memories are her two children, Donnie Hamilton and his wife Patty and Linda Halford and her husband Loyde; his sister, Ruth White; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren.
