Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 21, 2012 at 10:00a.m. at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel 8210 S. Coulter Rd. Burial will be at 12 Noon in West Park Cemetery in Hereford
Mrs. Wright was born March 16, 1917 in Hereford, Texas to John and Caroline Decker. Mrs. Wright attended several schools in the Hereford and Canyon areas. She graduated from high school in 1935. She then attended West Texas Teacher’s College. Mrs. Wright was in the ministry from 1937-1953. She spent the last 5 years of that time in the Philippines spreading the Gospel. Mrs. Wright lived in several places spreading the Gospel before marriage. Dorothy married Allen Wright of Oakley, Kansas in 1957. They moved to Amarillo in 1966. She resided in Amarillo until June 2010 when she moved to Pampa, TX to be closer to her nephew and niece Keith and Patricia Winkler who were also her caregivers. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband, her parent’s, three brothers and six sisters.
Survivors include her nephews, nieces, and great and great great nephews and nieces and a host of many dear friends.
