Dorothy Marie Tabor, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2024 She was born on May 28, 1940, Amarillo, Texas to her loving parents Robert Lee Shackelford and Ella Florence Shackelford.

Dorothy led a fulfilling life balancing her roles as a dedicated housewife and an employee at House Plants and Ray's Flowers part-time. She found joy in simple pleasures such as sewing, tending to her flower beds, and for the Dallas Cowboys. One of her greatest passions was watching NASCAR races. However, nothing brought her more happiness than spending quality time with her grandchildren whom she adored beyond measure.

In the company of family and friends, Dorothy's presence radiated warmth and love. Her kind heart and unwavering devotion will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Robert Lee Shackelford and Ella Florence Shackelford, husband Ralph C Tabor Sr, son Ralph C Tabor JR, sisters Florence Miracle, Eva Smith, Susie Hood, and brother Robert Shackelford.

She is survived by her son Bobby Tabor and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, daughter Eva Cook and husband Chawn of Amarillo, brother Jesse Shackelford and wife Vickie of Amarillo. Dorothy leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren Christopher, Jason, and Cody Tabor all of Amarillo; Ryan Brown and his wife Sydnie of Amarillo; Ashleigh Wilson and her husband Micah of Dumas; as well as great-grandchildren Caitlyn and Evalyn Tabor, Blakely and Beckham Brown, Leland Carrillo, Oliver Brown; numerous nieces, nephews who will cherish her memory forever.

In honoring Dorothy's life, we not only mourn the loss of an incredible woman but also celebrate the profound impact she had on those around her. Rest in peace Dorothy Marie Tabor.
