Dorothy “Granky” Duvall, 98, of Amarillo died on October 18th 2022.
Dorothy June Milner Duvall was brought into this world on June 29th, 1924, by Edna Thelma Savage and Goldwyn Deahl Milner just outside of Hollis, Ok. She grew up and married her husband of 67 years. Dorothy later gave birth to three children, Milner Duvall, Gene Duvall, and Dyann Cleland. Dorothy ran a very successful rental property empire with her late husband M.G. Duvall. Dorothy had a relationship with God that was almost unbelievable. Her strong faith kept her going through the tough times, as she lost her daughter, Dyann in 2002 and her husband a few years later in 2008. Owning a few dozen rental properties, Dorothy saw people from all walks of life and was very compassionate with people going through rough times and wanted to help in any way that she could. People that knew Dorothy, knew that she also had an undeniable love for animals. She cared for many throughout her years here on this earth. Dorothy had an undeniable relationship with God and never hesitated to tell people about it. She often helped people grow with their spiritual faith and healings. One of her favorite verses was John 1:1 and she told the world and every preacher that she could get on the phone that The Word was God and not the Bible. If you learn one thing, she would have wanted you to learn that. Dorothy’s heart was huge, and it showed. The world will not be the same without her here.
She was preceded in death by her two parents Goldwyn Deahl Milner and Enda Thelma Savage; her husband M.G. Duvall and her daughter, Dolly Dyann Cleland.
Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Milner Duvall of Weatherford, Tx., Gene Duvall of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; Cara Bainum, Robbin Watson, Nathan Duvall, Julie Dawson, Wesley Duvall, April Wilhite, Holly Duvall and Robbie Cleland; numerous great-grandchildren and even more great-great-grandchildren.
