Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel with the Rev. Terry Callis, chaplain, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Mrs. Dalman was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Union Point, Ga., to John and Eula Mae Wray. She grew up in Union Point, graduating from Union Point High School. Mrs. Dalman graduated from Macon Memorial Hospital School of Nursing with a registered nurse associate degree. She married Andy Dalman on Feb. 12, 1952, in Macon, Ga. The couple moved to Amarillo shortly thereafter, where Dorothy was employed by St. Anthony’s Hospital and Amarillo Diagnostic Center. They had been married 60 years at the time of her passing.
Mrs. Dalman loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and crossword puzzles. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Dalman loved and doted on her grandchildren and loved to travel. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and
parents.
Survivors include her husband, Andy; two daughters, Jackie Dalman and Judie Shafer and husband Jack, all of Amarillo; two sons, Micheal Dalman and wife Janice of Amarillo and Steve Dalman
of Houston; four sisters, Martha Cronic and husband William of Washington, Ga., Betty Durham and husband M.C. of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Jean Ogletree and Carol Young and husband John, all of Union Point; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
