Doris was born on August 22, 1942 in Lubbock to Leo and Pauline Russell. She attended schools in Amarillo, where she graduated from Tascosa High School. She was employed with Maywood Sash and Door for 14 years. Doris was known for her love of people and the smile she shared with everyone. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her life. She loved nothing more than being with them. She was a wonderful mother.
Survivors include: daughter, Rhonda Silva and husband Fidencio of Lubbock; 2 granddaughters, Heather Scasta and husband Brian Amarillo and Summer Smith of Lubbock; grandson, Clay Smith of Lubbock; great children, Ethan, Xander, and Radek Scasta and Kite Smith; 3 sisters, Frances Cook of Wellston, Ok, Christine Anderson of Grand Prarie and Geraldine Galbraith of Grand Prarie and her brother, Everett Russell and wife Pat of Avalon, TX.
Preceded in death by: Parents and son, Ronnie Eugene Post, Jr.
