Doris Ruth Kulow

Doris Ruth Meadows Kulow was born on November 12, 1927 to Alta Myrtle Webb and William Robin Meadows. She was the youngest of three children and well-loved through childhood. She did well in school and was fiery and independent as she grew. She married Wallace Roderick Palon and had two daughters. She later returned to Amarillo with her daughters and married Ralph Lee Kulow and gained a stepson. She began work as a secretary where she would remain working with the Amarillo Police Department for 26 years. She retired to care for her mother and later her husband. She was bright, funny and always supportive. Music filled her life; she sang bass with Sweet Adelines for 30 years.

She is survived by her daughters Carol Ann Christie and Suzi Reno, her grandchildren Cody Kulow, Mandy Davenport and Kimbra Masters; and her six great-grandchildren. Her resiliency, love and humor will be abundantly missed.
