Dora M. Onofre

Dora M. Onofre, 65, of Amarillo passed from this life on Thursday February 28, 2019. The Holy Rosary will be said at 6:00pm Monday March 4, 2019 followed by a visitation until 8:00 pm in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday March 5, 2019 in St. Laurence Catholic Church with Father Shane Wieck as celebrant. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.

Dora M. Onofre was born on April 22, 1953 in Mexico to Alfonso Martinez and Elsa Cerda where she grew up. Dora married Ricardo Onofre in 1972 in Illinois. She moved to Ozona, Texas where she lived for ten years before moving to Cactus, Texas. Dora worked at JBS meat packing as a beef trimmer. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cactus. Dora enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling to see them in Austin, San Antonio and Ozona.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Ricardo Onofre.

Left to Cherish her memory are two sons, Ricardo Onofre Jr., and George Onofre and his wife, Candace; a daughter, Myra Onofre; five brothers, Homero Martinez, Hector Martinez, Dario Martinez, Gamaliel Martinez and Alfonso Martinez; five sisters Emma Martinez, Maria Elena Martinez, Dolores Rocha, Irma Martinez, and Maribel Garcia; two brothers in law, Santiago Onofre and Felipe Onofre; mother in law, Germana Onofre and six grandchildren, Ricardo Onofre III,Santiago Onofre, Yvette Smallwood, Saira Smallwood, Alexandra Razo and Connor Onofre.
