Donnie Ray Cox

Donnie Ray Cox 49, of Amarillo died Monday, November 25, 2019 surrounded by his family.

Services will be 2:00PM Monday, December 2nd, at Arena Of Life Cowboy Church with Pastor Linvell Tisdale officiating. Visitation will be Sunday December 1st, from 5:00PM – 7:00 PM at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel.

Donnie was born January 17th, 1970 to Vernon and Virginia Sue Cox in Amarillo. He was full of life and never worried about what people thought about him. Donnie had a “did it my way” mentality about him; He loved his family, especially his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Donnie is described by his family as a “kid at heart”. He enjoyed fishing, and had a love for cars. Donnie was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his two sons, Bryan Cox, Derek Cox and wife Leslie, both of Arkansas; one sister Ginger Forguson and husband Jack; one brother John Cox and his wife Kelly; his father Vernon Cox all of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Mason, Lily Mae, Dennis, and Daniel, and a host of nieces and nephews.
