Donna Mae Stone Hunter

January 29, 1942 — November 13, 2011

Donna Mae Stone Hunter, 69 passed away on Sunday November 13, 2011 after a long battle with cancer.  Her funeral Service will be at 2:00pm Thursday November 17, 2011 at Beacon Baptist Church, 417 S. McMasters with Pastor Curtis Redmond officiating.  Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Martin Road Chapel.

Mrs. Hunter was born Jan. 29, 1942 in Dow, Oklahoma to William and Viola Stone.  She was raised in Hartshorne, Oklahoma along with her three brothers and three sisters.  She later moved to Amarillo where she met her husband Philip George Hunter.  They were married on Oct. 6, 1973.  Donna was always a very hard worker and had several jobs in the construction industry, including construction foreman for many years with Page and Associates.  After retiring, Donna and Phil moved to Eufala, OK where she still worked as a Supervisor for Tyson Foods.  She attended Beacon Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her mother Flossie Viola Moore Stone, her father William “Bill” Stone and her husband Philip Hunter.

Her survivors include; her four children and their spouses, Johnny and Kelia Francis, Kelly and Ricky Phillips, Cindy and Ray Hunkapiller and Shelley Hunter.  She is also survived by six siblings, Olen Stone, Clarence Stone, Boyce L. Stone, Virginia Stone, Aline Fillmore and Jean Smith; her  companion Jess Baker and her special friend Linnie Cotgrave, eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home at 1505 Martin Road.
