Donald "Donnie" Vick

Donald "Donnie" R. Vick, 45 of Amarillo passed away on November 09, 2011.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, with full military honors.
Donnie was born on December 3, 1965 to John and Sharon Vick in Amarillo. He attended schools here where he played football and graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1984. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1985 where he served as a boatmans mate on the USS Missouri. He was honorably discharged in 1989. Donnie incorporated El Cajon plumbing and mechanical in hopes of providing a good life for his family. He later moved to Oklahoma City to care for his father. He then moved back to Amarillo where he worked in the maintenance department at the VA Hospital. He was passionate about Harley Riding in his last couple of months.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Donovan Vick of Ramona, CA; granddaughter Julianne Vick; brother, Robert Vick and wife Nancy of Huntington, TX; sister, Charlene Vick of Reed City, Michigan; Russell Clay and Lisa Ellery and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Family suggest memorial contributions be made to the VA Hospital in Amarillo.
