Doan Van Hoang, 58. of Amarillo died on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Our Lady of Vietnam Catholic Church. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 23. 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Arrangements are LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Doan was born on April 10, 1956 to An Van Hoang and Loc Thi Vuong in Vietnam. He immigrated to Amarillo in 1984 and began working for Tyson. He married his wife Hoan Trinh on May 25, 1991 in Amarillo. Doan worked for Tyson for 27 years. He was an expert "jack of all trades". He could repair anything and enjoyed fixing things around the house. Doan was very involved in his church, Our Lady of Vietnam.
Doan was preceded in death by his Father, An Van Hoang.
Doan is survived by his wife, Hoan Trinh of the house; two sons, Johnny Trinh and Dean Hoang, both of Austin and one sister Tan Hoang and husband Khoa Nguyen of Amarillo.
