Dewanna Estelle Pace, age 60, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014. A time for the family to receive friends will be Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 pm at laGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Adam Finger officiating. Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery.
Dewanna was born February 22, 1954 in Knoxville, Tn to Donald D. and Dortha Doris (Duckworth) Williams. She has lived most of her life in Amarillo graduating from Caprock High School. She met and married the love of her life Roy Lee Pace on November 4, 1972 in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by two brothers Eddie Mack WIlliams and Thomas Wayne Williams.
Dewanna has had several books published over her career and has been a New York Times best selling author.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years Roy of Amarillo and a daughter Dionne Pace of Amarillo. She also leaves behind a brother Jimmy Don and Sandy Williams of Slaton, Tx., two sisters Karen Kay and Gary Williams of Lake Whitney and Teresa and Markle Rose of Borger and a Sister-In-Law Rose Williams of Ozona. Also left behind is one of her greatest loves her grandson James Gabriel Rivers of Amarillo.
