Dessie Vivian Rivers

Dessie Vivian ascended to Heaven in her golden chariot and cloud to glory on March 21, 2013, where she was reunited with her beloved husband and daughter. Dessie was born in Mt. Carmel, Arkansas on February 9, 1917 and was the sixth child of Bob and Ann Gibson. She married Everett Rivers in 1934 and this union produced two daughters, three sons. Her life was a gift from God, full of love, tenderness, and compassion for others. She was fiercely protective of her children, and was the queen that ruled our world. Services will be Saturday March 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church 4304 S.E. 10th Avenue, Amarillo, TX
