Dennis Hardee

March 17, 1948 — October 5, 2011

Dennis Hardee, 63 of Amarillo passed away on October 5, 2011.  Mr. Hardee's funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at First Untied Medhodist Church in Tulia, Tx with
Rev. Jim Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia with military honors.  Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coutler Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road, Amarillo, TX.

The Family will receive freinds from 5-7 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Chapel located at 8310 Coulter Road.

Dennis was born on March 17, 1948 in Snyder to M.K. and Ruby Hardee.  He attended school in Tulia, graduating from Tulia High School in 1966.  He married Debra Robinson on June 10, 1969 in Tulia at First United Methodist Church.  Mr. Hardee was drafted into the United States Army Reserves in August of 1970.  He was honorably discharged in July of 1976.  He graduated from South Plains College with an Associate’s Degree and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Texas Tech University.  He worked as a banker for 30 years in the communities of Lubbock, Hale Center, Dalhart and Childress.  Dennis was an active community member in many civic clubs, including the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club and past president of the Chamber of Commerce in Dalhart.  At the time of his passing he was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church.  Dennis enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting, gardening and all outdoor activities.

He was preceeded in death by his parents.

Surviovors includes his wife, Debra Hardee of Amarillo; 2 sons, Bret Hardee and wife Christi of Broken Arrow, OK and Dr. Clint Hardee of Amarillo; 2 grandsons, Hayden and Hudson Hardee; a sister, Jerry Lynn Crow and husband Marcus of Andrews; his father-in-law, Lyle Robinson of Tulia, 2 sisters-in-law, Cynthia Hulett and husband Dr. Elwyn Hulett of Portales, NM and Donna Boyett and husband John of Royce City, TX and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family suggests memorials be to The American Stroke Association or Odyssey Hospice, Amarillo, Texas.
