Deloise Jo Davis, 75, of Amarillo was called to Glory on Sunday, November 27, 2016 in DeSoto, Texas. Services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, December 10, 2016 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, Texas.
Deloise Jo Reasonover Davis was born on June 6, 1941 in Plainview, Texas to the parents of Tom and Katherine Reasonover. She moved to Amarillo in 1948 and connected with New Hope Baptist Church. Later in life she married Elder Olan Davis and united with Galilee Church of God In Christ. She was educated at Carver High School and was a retired homemaker.
Deloise was proceeded in death by her husband, Elder Olan Davis, her first husband, James Waters, Sr., parents, Tom and Katherine Reasonover, a son, James Emory Waters, Jr., a grandson, Zychias Earle, and siblings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories two siblings, Tommy L. Reasonover, Sr. and Jean Washington; four daughters, SuBrenda Waters Williams, Veronica Earle and husband Victor, Tammy Waters, and Detra Reasonover ; nine grandchildren, Taylor Williams, LaTona Maryland, LaKeisha Waters Burns, Christopher Waters, Cherokee Martin, Zachariah Earle, Justin Patterson, Colby Reasonover, and Briana Reasonover-Dickerson and husband Brandon; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive family and friends on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
