David Paul Richardson

David Paul Richardson, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 3, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Craig Albracht officiating. Burial will follow in Llano East Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

David was born on January 28, 1948 in Amarillo to Clifton Paul and Delores Richardson. He graduated from Amarillo High in 1966. He met the love of his life, Susan Hamilton when she went to work for him selling corn dogs and spin paint at the Lubbock fair. They were married on May 3, 1969 in Clovis, NM by her father, a Methodist Pastor and recently celebrated fifty years of marriage. David went to work for Santa Fe railroad at the age of 18 and retired after 42 years from BNSF. He loved old cars, traveling and camping at KOA campgrounds. David was an avid reader and researcher. He was a self educated man. The undefeated Miami Dolphins were his team until converting to the old school Dallas Cowboys.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Susan; four daughters, #1, Aimee Fuller and husband Bruce, #2, Robin Birch and husband Mason, #3, Paula Cummings and husband Chad and # 4,Marci Rossiter and husband Len; his sister, Loretta Osenbaugh and husband Ted; his brother, Emmett Ross Richardson; nine grandchildren, Nickie Grimm, Troy Bates, Kenzie White, Kaylee Sue Smith, Jordan Birch, Tyler David Smith, Claire Cummings, Cole Cummings and Caleb Cummings; six great grandchildren, Jolee Grimm, Kynadee Grimm, Paislee Grimm, Everlee Grimm, Kynlee Smith and Peter White III.
