Darone Singsavatdy

Darone Singsavatdy, 69, of Amarillo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 4th, 2025.

Born in Laos on March 15, 1956, Darone moved to the US in the 1990s where he met and married Monekeo. Together, they created a nurturing home in Amarillo for their three children, Somphone, Lucky, and Lucy. He worked at Tyson Foods and International Paper for over 20 years combined before retiring. During his retirement, Darone devoted his time to entertaining family and friends and watching his grandchildren grow. He also enjoyed working in his garden, making people laugh, and karoaking the night away. Darone lived his life to the fullest and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Monekeo; children, Somphone and wife Mia, Lucky and wife Chantel, Lucy and husband Edgar; and grandchildren, Alejandro, Grayson, Abel, and Liliana. Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 9th from 12 pm to 6 pm and memorial services will be on Thursday, April 10th from 12 pm to 2 pm at Lagrone Blackburn Shaw, 1505 Martin Rd in Amarillo.
