Daniel Lee Barber, 31, of Amarillo died on Monday, May 16, 2016. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 20, 2016 at Central Church of Christ with Minister Greg Dowell officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery (I27 & McCormick). Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Daniel was born on May 30, 1984 in Amarillo. Daniel worked in the construction industry as a sub contractor. Daniel loved to play his guitar and was a grill master known for his ribs. Strong, patient, selfless, best friend and perfectionist are just a few words that describe this fisherman. Daniel loved spending time with his friends and family and will be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia; a son, Corbin; his father, Roger Barber and wife Melissa; his mother, Teresa McElroy; step father, Dale Aldrich; three brothers, Christopher Barber, twin brother, David Barber and Jacob Aldrich; three sisters, Rebecca Rawlinson and husband Brandon, Berkley Washburn and Shelby Pierot and husband Robert; mother in law, Lanita Silman; grandparents, Charles Barber and wife Betty and Billy McElroy and wife Mary and numerous other family members.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, Thursday, May 19, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the benefit fund established for his son Corbin Barber at Amarillo National Bank.
